Dagney C. Ernest
Dagney Ernest has been acting, singing and dancing on Maine stages from Belfast to Wiscasset for 25 years. Since making her NMT debut in last year’s Musical of Musicals , she has played Madame Arcati in Umbrella Theatre Project’s Blithe Spirit and “the moaner” in Girl Power Productions’ Vagina Monologues.
A longtime student of Afro-Caribbean dance, Dagney has played everything from Miss Adelaide to The Mother in Blood Wedding. She has performed with Heartwood Regional Theater Company, Waldo Theatre, Camden Civic Theatre, the Arthur Hall International Dance Company and more.
Dagney sang alto for seven years in swing quartet Fascinatin’ Rhythm; look fast and you’ll see her in the Oscar-winning In the Bedroom. Dagney lives in Thomaston and puts together The Beat section for the Courier-Gazette, Camden Herald and Republican Journal. She is pleased to add plate spinning to her bag of tricks.
