The Producers
John and Ruth Gelsinger
The Gelsinger Duo has been seen here in the Midcoast for the past quarter century performing, directing, and conducting in plays, concerts, recitals and musicals of every kind and style. Classically trained in music at the University of Maine and NYU at Fredonia, both John (singer/actor) and Ruth (pianist) have worked professionally as music educators and also as managers in the real estate field and marine industry.
"We’ve always been lovers of American Musical Theater first and foremost, however, and always found time to fit performances in to already busy schedules. Now we’re ready to do it our way and as we near the golden years we realize it’s now or never to realize our dream.
When it comes to musicals if it’s funny, outrageous, irreverent, whimsical, romantic, and/or poetic we want to get it up on the boards! Our goal is to entertain you with over-the-top music, song, and dance that is up-to-date and unforgettable!
